Cap d’Antibes Villas

Now that the Cap d’Antibes summer season is well and truly over, the place has once again sprung into life with building work. Old houses are either being torn down and replaced with modern luxury villas or re-developed. Among those snapped up by the super rich are a childrens’ home, a youth hostel, an old peoples home and a local hotel. All are currently in the early stages of redevelopment. The Cap d’Antibes landscape is certainly changing and at a surprising rate. I am wondering if the building restrictions have been relaxed to encourage development here, who knows.

In any case despite the construction it’s still a beautiful place to be on a sunny Saturday morning. Many houses remain unchanged of course. Below are some images of the old, the new, the under construction and the abandoned. Believe it or not there are still some un-developed pieces of land on the Cap too. I don’t expect that they will be there for long.
