No Made Villa Thuret

Hidden Art in Cap d’Antibes.

No-Made, Villa Thuret 2019.

As if I needed an excuse to visit the lovely peaceful gardens at Villa Thuret.  INRA are currently hosting the second No-Made exhibition which consists of several pieces of site specific art hidden around the grounds.

No-Made is an association run by and for local artists. The association puts on various cultural events in the region and this exhibition is one of their current events.

Dotted around the Villa Thuret gardens this year are lots of weird and wonderful installations. My personal favourite was the upside down man with his head stuck in the ground. Keep your eye out for the strange alien looking spaghetti like creature swallowing up a concrete block and something which looks like a giant gold pin cushion!

The exhibition will remain in place until the 22nd of September so if you fancy discovering a bit of hidden art then why not pop along to the gardens on your next visit to the Cap. Entrance is free too which is always a bonus on the Cote d’Azur!

Maybe No-Made will inspire you to create your own bit of art in your own garden.
