May Day May Day

May Day May Day

The Wind in your Sails

Today was May Day and, in France, this is probably one of the biggest public holidays of the year. Unlike other public holidays literally everything is shut on the 1st of May. It’s a day to visit family and friends and also a day, for some people, to take part in a little sailing regatta around Cap d’Antibes.

Unfortunately this years weather seems to be unable to decide if it is summer or winter at the moment. Today the skies were grey with ominously dark clouds and there was very little wind. I am no sailor but I am guessing these weren’t the best conditions for a regatta. However, for me, it’s the perfect kind of light for taking pictures. Although to be honest I would have loved to be on the beach instead.

The beach will have to wait though 🙂 In the meantime let me share a few images from earlier today 🙂
